While working in Hollywood, CA, I was out in the sun for most of the day. Of course, being white as a ghost, I got terribly sunburnt. My neck, shoulders, forearms, thighs, and knees became fiery red and hot. I even had small blisters starting to form on my shoulders. Luckily, Bevon brought some CBD salves on our trip. I decided to try Alni CBD Peppermint and Arnica salve to help mend my horrible sunburn.

My Experience With Alni CBD Peppermint Salve
When I initially applied the salve, I felt an immediate cool-down from the peppermint while gently rubbing it into my legs. After applying it to the rest of my body, I was able to feel comfortable again. I found alleviation within seconds of using the salve. I like the fact that it does not leave an oily residue.
I also enjoy the refreshing herbal smell of the salve. It lasted all day while I had it on! The peppermint kept me feeling a sense of energy and alertness as well.
I only felt the burns when something put pressure onto my skin. I could feel my burnt skin when I had my purse hanging from my shoulder for example. It wasn’t nearly as painful as it was before applying the salve.
Turmeric + Arnica + CBD = Bye-Bye Inflammation!
Turmeric and Arnica by themselves have strong anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Consolidating these two regimens with CBD is the ultimate inflammation and pain reliever combo! The peppermint is a bonus as well for sunburn relief. It truly helped keep the hotness and stinging down to the bare minimum.
Arnica is a European herb that is widely known as a reliever for bruises, swelling, skin discoloration and acne. If eaten, the actual herb is toxic to the liver and can be fatal. However, most homeopathic arnica supplements are highly diluted and are not harmful.
It is defintely much more effective to use Alni CBD Peppermint salve along with aloe vera for maximum recovery vs using aloe vera alone.
I kept the salve with me and applied 3 more times in the rest of the day. The effects of the salve lasted about 4 hours between each application. I also used Aloe Vera before bed to help the burn heal.
Another positive note to add is, even with using regular strength, a little goes a long way. I did not need a big glob of the product to feel alleviation.
As Bad as My Burn Appeared, It Felt Quite the Contrary!
I woke up the next day and noticed that my excruciating sunburn was now at a moderate level. My forearms and knees weren’t as burned, and I wasn’t in as pain as I was expecting to be. My thighs, shoulders, and neck were burnt the worst, so they remained crispy hot, but the salve helped immensely with the pain.
I continued to use the salve until the container was empty. The peppermint was a perfect touch to help cool down my skin. Alni CBD Salves also come in other scents including eucalyptus, clove/cinnamon, lavender, grapefruit and unscented.
It looked awful, but with Alni CBD it didn’t feel near as bad as it appeared.
My sunburn healed much more efficiently than it would have had I just used aloe vera. I didn’t notice my burn during most of my time in California, thanks to Alni’s CBD Turmeric and Arnica Salve!
The best part is now that I am home with my burn mostly gone, my skin didn’t peel! It’s always a relief when your skin doesn’t peel after a bad burn. I honestly was expecting my skin to peel, but the salve helped my skin regenerate back to good health instead of dying off and peeling.
