CBD reduces the effects of coffee jitters

Too much caffeine, whether from coffee, tea, or energy drink, can ruin your day.

This is why coffee companies have started infusing their beans with CBD. The anti-inflammatory and anxiolytic properties of CBD reduce the uncomfortable jitters and anxiety that come with too much coffee.

Interestingly enough, both CBD and caffeine engage with adenosine receptors. Adenosine is a neurotransmitter that tells your body when to wake up and when to wind down.

Caffeine can be anxiety-provoking because it blocks adenosine receptors, and prevents them from functioning. This means that other stimulating neurotransmitters go unchecked, as adenosine is blocked.

CBD has the opposite effect. By delaying the reuptake of this neurotransmitter, CBD boosts adenosine levels in the brain, which regulates adenosine receptor activity.

We look forward to the day when more research is done on CBD.

In the meantime, you may find that CBD mellows out the caffeine rush.
