Around the time that I was diagnosed with torn ligaments and tendons in my right wrist I was also diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

After years of straining and hurting my wrist in the Navy, I ended up doing more damage due to lack of proper diagnosis.

The doctors ran nerve tests on my wrist and concluded that I indeed suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome.

What causes Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Pressure on the median nerve causes carpal tunnel syndrome. This pressure can come from swelling or anything that makes the carpal tunnel smaller. There are many things that can cause Carpal Tunnel Syndrome including constant hand movements over and over like using the computer mouse.

Symptoms

The common symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome are tingling or numbness and weakness. For me, I felt the tingling and some numbness in my fingers. This feeling along with weakness prevented me from lifting heavy options. Some days were better than others.

How to Prevent Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

While there is no way to 100% prevent carpal tunnel, you can minimize the stress on your hand and wrist by:

How I deal with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Like most of you, I tried many different things to deal with the pain. I used to do the paraffin baths. Boy did I love those. The warm liquid sensation from the wax felt so good surrounding my wrist. I really need to get a home kit.

The doctors even did the nerve pulse kits. That still didn’t work for me. I ended up having surgery to fixing the damaged ligaments, tendons and carpal tunnel.

Due to the late diagnosis, I ended up with osteoarthritis. This happens when there is no cartilage in-between the bones in your joints. The ligaments and tendons hold everything in place. Since I tore and ruptured my ligaments all my bones separated.

I eventually removed 3 bones through surgery. Today I used CBD to help me deal with the pain.

Lately, the nerve damage has started back with tingling sensations on the top of my hand. The nerve damage has increased in pain and tingling a lot lately.

I’ve been using both Active CBD pain salve and Kali Botanicals Ganja Balm made with CBD recently. They have helped calmer and relaxed the tingling sensation.

If you suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or any nerve damage I highly recommend using a CBD Pain cream to help ease your symptoms so that you can go about your daily lives the best way possible.
