This is my Extract Labs 1000mg Strawnana CBD Shatter Review. Presentation: The container this concentrate comes is of extremely high quality. The glass is thick and matte. The lid is easy to screw on and stays tight. All of the aromas of this concentrate are contained in the small jar. The Strawnana CBD Shatter itself is a small slab of white-yellowish, seemingly frosty and sparkling CBD isolate. Aroma & Taste: It smells and tastes exactly like a citrusy strawberry banana candy. Absolutely delicious. Really curious on the source of the terpenes here. Here is the terpene report if anyone is interested in organic chemistry. It’s objectively a hybrid with a nice combo of both traditionally uplifting (Limonene) and sedating (β- Caryophyllene) terpenes. Effects: For me, the added terpenes lead to a stimulating effect at first, but within half an hour I’ll be relaxed and calm. The CBD content counteracts any anxiety that might form from the initial stimulating effects. The CBD content here is legitimate and this is good medicine. It helped my anxiety and my gut was cramp free once I got past the issues I had… please keep reading! Issues: I’ve been having mild “allergic” reactions to this concentrate. So when I dab this concentrate or used 1 specific pen from a dispensary with added very fruity terpenes I get a tingly tongue and a tight throat that is itchy, burning, and just generally kills until I breathe a lot of cold air (freezers make for great lung/throat fresheners). I use a quartz banger for my dab nail, and I let the temperature get low after I heat it up, but still, something is going on. When I put the concentrate in my Extreme Q with some CBD flower (or “normal” cannabis if I’m nauseous or need to sleep) then I only get a tingly tongue without the throat issues. When I dab plain old CBD isolate I don’t any tongue or throat issues. So something is going with dabbing these terpenes. The same issue does not happen when I dab Phytodabs Full Spectrum Grape Ape Slab, which I have previously reviewed. This is a really strange issue. I’m concerned that Extract Labs might be “overterping” their products. Has anyone else run into this issue with their products or any other medical cannabis product? Overall I would give the Strawnana a 6/10 just because of my reaction to it. It’d be an 8 if I was pseudo-allergic.
